In 2013 GBH-Design GmbH combined with partners, Elevator Planning UK Ltd was appointed to design, manufacture and install a very special round glass lift, for the new Louis Vuitton Store Townhouse, within the famous Selfridges Department Store in London, this sophisticated round glass lift with mirror polished stainless steel components, was built within a glass tube supported by a timber clad double helix structure/product showcase, in collaboration with the internationally renowned designer Nicolas Gwenael, GBH developed a most impressive lift system that fits harmoniously with the overall store concept.

Due to the differently positioned accesses on each of the 3 floors, the 12 person, 900kg lift rotates as it ascends and descends traveling at different speeds, homing into each landing floor served; the bespoke lift installation offers an interesting way to experience the Louis Vuitton brands versatile collection.
